June Allyson

June Allyson was an American leading lady whose sweet smile and sunny disposition made her the prototypical girl-next-door of American movies of the 1940s.  Her smoky voice and winning personality made her very popular and she made more than a score of films.  She was an intelligent, powerful actress who has been in a few movies featuring her character with a gun!  Although rare, her gun carrying characters are ones that inspire courage and confidence, were motivated to fight harder, and succeed.

Little Women (1949)

The four daughters of a New England family fight for happiness during and after the Civil War.  While their preacher father serves with the Union Army, a mother and four daughters must keep the home fires burning.  A simple tale of four young girls coming to womanhood.
