Dorothy Stratten (1960-1980) was a Canadian model and actress. She gained international fame as a Playboy Playmate and was named Playmate of the Year in 1980. She also had a brief career in film and television, with her most notable role being the lead in the science-fiction comedy film "Galaxina" (1980).

Tragically, Stratten's life was cut short when she was murdered by her estranged husband, Paul Snider, in August 1980 at the age of 20. Stratten's death was a shock to the entertainment industry and her fans, who had admired her beauty and talent.
