"Alias" is a television series that premiered on September 30, 2001, and ran for five seasons until May 22, 2006. The show was created by J.J. Abrams and produced by Bad Robot Productions.
The series follows Sydney Bristow (played by Jennifer Garner), a young woman who is recruited by a black-ops division of the CIA called SD-6, which she believes is a legitimate government agency. However, she soon discovers that SD-6 is actually a criminal organization that poses as the CIA. Sydney's father, Jack Bristow (played by Victor Garber), is also an agent who works for a rival agency and eventually joins forces with his daughter to bring down SD-6.
Throughout the series, Sydney goes on numerous dangerous missions, often going undercover and assuming different identities to complete her objectives. She also faces personal challenges, including dealing with the death of her fiance and the discovery of her mother's involvement with SD-6.
The show's cast also includes Michael Vartan as Sydney's love interest and CIA agent Michael Vaughn, Ron Rifkin as SD-6 leader Arvin Sloane, and Bradley Cooper as Sydney's best friend and reporter Will Tippin.
"Alias" was known for its fast-paced action, complex storylines, and high-tech gadgetry. The series received critical acclaim and was nominated for numerous awards, including four Emmys. It also helped launch Jennifer Garner's career as a leading actress.
