Martha Hyer was an American actress born on August 10, 1924, in Fort Worth, Texas. She began her acting career in the early 1950s, working primarily in film and television.

Hyer is perhaps best known for her role in the 1958 film "Some Came Running," for which she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She also appeared in other notable films, including "Sabrina" (1954), "The Carpetbaggers" (1964), and "The Sons of Katie Elder" (1965).
